HISTORY

Amco Batteries Limited started in 1932 by Mr. Becken Bain, a German national, and purchased by AMALGAMATIONS Group in 1955 for Rs. 5 Lakhs, commenced its operations under the stewardship of late Mr. K.G. Parameswaran. It was his vision, ably supported by his management team of Mr. S. Santhanam that has led to the exponential growth of the company and undisputed leadership in the automotive battery segment. Subsequently under the leadership of S. Anantharamakrishnan and the current Chairman of the Amalgamations Group Mr. A. Sivasailam, the company had grown manifold from its humble beginnings as an accumulator manufacturer.Today, AMCO Batteries Limited is an integral part of the over Rs. 5000 Crore Amalgamations Group, one of the largest Light Engineering Groups in .
